A few weekends ago, I had the honor of hosting a baby shower for my youngest sister (who just so happens to also be my Creative Assistant here at Blissful!). She is having a baby boy next month…in a week to be more specific, so I will soon have another nephew and I am thrilled to meet him.
My sister, Stephany, who is one of the owners of Blue Indigo Creations, and I knew we wanted to the feeling of the shower to be classy, but not boring. Our sister, Courtney, is not boring. 🙂 We decided on a palette of navy blue, white and gold. I knew right away that I wanted to use a tablecloth from Studio McGee and Gathre’s collaboration and this one was the perfect look for what we were going for. The brunch was catered by Picket Fence Pastries and it was all so delicious and beautifully displayed.
We really wanted to use giant foil balloons behind the table against the vines and I love the way it turned, but these balloons were not without their issues. I exploded a “B” the night before the shower while we were filling them with helium and we had to scramble to find another for the next morning since I had ordered the original balloons off of Amazon. And then the wind kept blowing them all over the place the day of the shower. At least we were able to get a few photos of them upright!
For the seating, I used 2 matching tables that I bought during World Market’s 40% off furniture sale. They are now a part of my staging inventory. So are the gold stackable patio chairs from Wayfair that are perfect for staging, since I think that they can be used inside or outside and they had such a fun look and I just love the gold. I am very into mixing and matching seating around dining tables and the blue benches made this set up feel a bit younger and more casual. We added a gold polka dot paper table runner from Found that looked so cute. And who doesn’t love pillows on chairs for extra comfort?? 🙂
My sister, Stephany, put together an adorable baby gift box that was travel themed since our sister, Courtney, loves travel and adventure. And what is more of an adventure than a new baby?! We also did a diaper and wipe raffle and she put together our prize as well and it was super cute. I kind of wish I could have won it!
