How to Host the Perfect Gathering

via Vine and Willow

Let's transition into the new season!

Now that fall is upon us it's time to dust off our front porches and refresh the space for fall! We love adding fresh greenery, pumpkins, and changing the color palette from bright summer colors to warm and inviting. It will be like the feeling of a warm blanket as you walk up to the front door. Doesn't that sound cozy?

Welcome Mats

We love a good neutral welcome mat, it doesn't have to be orange or have pumpkins on the mat itself to have a fall feeling. A great neutral doormat can change with the seasons with a layered look added beneath the mat. We love changing the bottom layer of the welcome mat to a warm or neutral look for fall. This will help establish the change of tone for fall! And if you love a cute sayings on your doormats, you can layer that on top of a great neutral or plaid outdoor rug. Right now mine says, "hope you brought wine" and while I feel like that is always in season I might swap mine out with a new one!

Front Porch Planters & Geenery

Along with the doormat look we also love changing the greenery surrounding the porch area. Using textured neutral planters, and adding muted colored plants create such a great fall feel!

Adding Layers

After adding the basics of doormats and planters to create a minimalist fall look, it is so fun to add layers to this look with wreaths, pumpkins, and even lanterns! Make your front porch a statement that makes your neighbors pause on their way down the street and gives them all of the fall feelings and vibes!
