We wrapped up The Blissful Experience just a couple of weeks ago and today I got photos back from my amazing friend and photographer, Keira. And now that I have them, I cannot even wait to share more about the retreat with you!!
First, what is The Blissful Experience? It's a 4-day all-inclusive creative retreat for home stagers and designers who are ready to grow and scale their businesses. I teach sessions on topics such as client experience, systems and processes, pricing and hiring. This is the second time I have hosted this retreat and it was awesome - the women, the location, the connections, the conversation, the laughter - I could not have asked for anything more!
There is so much info, so I'm going to split it into two parts. Starting with the details...
If you remember or attended the first retreat, then you will know that we stayed at one of our Stay Blissful Vacation Homes in 2019. This time though, with a pandemic going on and wanting to have enough space for more ladies to attend, I opted to host it at The Scott Resort in Old Town Scottsdale. And I'm so glad that we did it there. If you like design even a little, then you will love this hotel. And since my attendees were all home stagers, designers and real estate investors, it was great! The design aesthetic is amazing and there are little moments all throughout the interior and exterior that make for the perfect photo backdrop.
Each attendee had the choice of a King bed private room or a queen bed shared room. Most of the ladies opted for their own room to fully take advantage of that vacation feeling and to have a little more space.
I love welcoming the attendees with thoughtful gifts when they arrive and since my sister owns Blue Indigo Creations, a curated gift box company, I asked her to help me put together the boxes for the ladies who attended.
I wanted the boxes to feel as fun as the hotel and the first item that I chose were a colorful terrazzo water bottle with teal, mint, gold, and gray. We used that color palette as the jumping off point and included items that felt like Arizona and also made sense for the venue that we were in - like after sun spray, a cookie from Oliver Baking Co to snack on and a tote to take it all home in.
We started the retreat with a Welcome Cabana Cocktail party. We had some appetizers and everyone grabbed a cocktail or mocktail and got to know each other a little bit before we started our first session.
After our welcome party, it was time for our first session - Business with Intention. Before we get started on anything business related, I want the ladies to set intentions for their time at The Blissful Experience so that they can design the business and life they want.
We ended our first day together with some group photos outside and a delicious dinner at The Canal Club getting to know each other even more and talking about business. It was the perfect way to end our first day together and it made me really hopeful for the days ahead.
