Can you believe it's time for Christmas already?? How has this been the slowest year literally EVER and yet it feels like it shouldn't already be Christmas? I know that tomorrow is Thanksgiving, don't you worry! It's one of my favorite holidays and I am so excited for sweet potato casserole and pumpkin pie. I normally am on the "I don't decorate for Christmas until after Thanksgiving" train, but this year due to creating content and also because it felt like we could use some extra joy this year, I decorated my house last. I'm going to keep my tree lights off for now until Thanksgiving night, but I do love the feeling it's giving me in my living room.
This year I took the color cues from my new living room rug and added in some light blue and slate gray ornaments and decor into my gold, black, white & wood scheme. I really love how it turned out!!
It feels somehow warm & cozy and traditional & glitzy at the same time. It's probably my because my tree is flocked and has glitter too.
I feel like this year my mantle looks extra good now that I have my frame TV up above the fireplace. This print from Minted is available to purchase through my TV, but you can just buy it as a print or canvas and it's so pretty. The team and I decided this one felt like an abstract snow storm. Haha!
I don't usually add a lot of extra decor around my home, but I do like adding a few things here and there - like on the coffee table or on the kitchen counter. Even adding a new throw with plenty of texture or a cozy cable knit pillow adds a warm feeling to the sofa.
