How to Host the Perfect Gathering

We Love Bar Carts and Here's Why!

One of my favorite things to do is host friends and family at our home. You can read more about how I do that on this blog about Hosting the Perfect Gathering, and having a fun cocktail to share is one of my favorite parts of the experience! I love that bar carts can display our favorite drinks, glassware and favorite cocktail recipe books. Bar carts are often put in the “wishful” or “someday” category when it comes to buying them for your own home, but we are here to give you permission to go for it and get that bar cart! Here are three ways to use and love your bar cart.

It’s time to bring out your favorite glassware, pretty liquor bottles and fun spritzers. A well stocked and accessorized bar cart is a functional and beautiful piece in the home. Our recipe for a well stocked bar carts is:

-Start with 3-5 spirits,

-layer in bar tools (such as a muddler, shaker, jigger & stir spoon),

-add a great bar or spirit recipe book &

-sprinkle in some pretty glassware.

I also love to have some mixers, like tonic or soda water and an ice bucket too. You can shop some of our favorite bar items below!

Bar carts don’t just have to be used for making drinks. They are a beautiful and unique way to act as shelf space in our homes. I love them in a bathroom to hold towels, soaps and a pretty plant or use them as a sideboard to hold plates, bowls and other serve ware. Sometimes we just need to have a fun piece for those display moments and bar carts are the perfect solution for that wow factor!

If you are looking to repurpose other furniture pieces or would rather invest a multi-purpose piece, console tables, side tables, and media consoles make great bars as well! House your favorite bottles and glasses behind closed doors or display them on open shelves. Either way they make great statement pieces within the home.

Let's have a drink and celebrate these ways to make the bar cart moment special, functional and do-able. Cheers!
