Shades of green are tied to great memories of summer. Thinking about fresh herbs growing in the garden, especially ones tossed in the latest cocktail. Cozy summer days spent at the lake house or cabin surrounded by trees, and plants. The texture of gardening hats and the calming feeling working the the soil. Can’t you just hear the wind blowing through the trees and smell the fresh grass with this color palette? We are loving this art piece from Juniper Print Shop as the anchoring piece for this bedroom look.

Life's a beach

Of course we think about beach days when thinking of summer, and I’m still dreaming of that California beach house! Can’t you just imagine sitting on that gorgeous rattan patio set overlooking the warm sandy beach. Imagine it’s sunset and the golden hues are entrancing the entire picture. Or maybe you are on the beach with the sand between your toes splashing in your favorite flattering white bikini. Children laughing and splashing around, sun kissed. Days spent lounging, reading the latest book, and staying up late dreaming of the future after summers’ end. We love the sofa, and chairs from Article that give us this summer feeling but if you would like a similar look for less we have linked similar ones in the shop section as well!

Deep Summer

via alysonsimplygrows

This last color palette is inspired by the deeper colors around summers end and the preview of fall. The summer greens are starting to darken and the refreshed feeling at summer’s end is here. The leaves start to change into beautiful golden colors and the plant life changes from brighter florals to deeper colors in anticipation of the temperature changes. Then the last trip up to the lake house or cabin happens where you wrap up in cozy blankets around the fire at night with temperatures starting to cool, anticipating all the fun to be had during the upcoming fall season.

Project Reveal: Bullmoose

This Chandler fix & Flip is light, bright and neutral! I almost convinced my husband that we should buy this house, remodel it and move into it. It was a month or so into stay-at-home orders. I was homeschooling 3 kids and not able to go into my studio. Our backyard still wasn’t done and […]

Hosting the Perfect Gathering

Hi I’m Brittany and I LOVE hosting gatherings of all shapes and sizes. There is nothing that gets my creative juices flowing more than a good charcuterie board opportunity or the chance to have my friends try my latest cocktail recipe! Even though gatherings are smaller these days there are always opportunities to host even […]

Interior Inspiration: Mudrooms

Arizona doesn’t typically bring too much rain, but that doesn’t stop us from dreaming about styling beautiful mudrooms. While we don’t use them much to save our homes from wet conditions out here, they still remain a great place to add some always needed storage space. Check out some of our favorites here, and get […]

Our Favorite: Cookbooks

Great for cooking & styling! Bans are starting to lift and that means slowly but surely we can get back to our normal lives (safely, of course!). We can’t help but look forward to spending time with our friends and loved ones while showing them a good time, whether it be on elegantly styled patios […]

Interior Inspiration: Spring Color Palettes

By now, when Spring rolls around, we’re used to tones of pink, yellow, and blue pastels. While these shades are beautiful, nonetheless, seeing pastels for spring are just like seeing florals for spring, and as the great Miranda Priestly once said “Florals for spring? Groundbreaking.“ That’s why, for our spring color palette, we’ve chosen muted […]

Always in season… While it’s seem to have been trending everywhere lately, brass hardware is a gorgeous feature that deserves to definitely become a staple in your kitchen and bathrooms. It’s versatile (let’s talk about ALL of those possible finishes – brushed, polished, antiqued, unlaquered – should I go on?), brings warmth to a space, […]

Kids' Homework Space

Interior Inspiration: Kids’ Homework Spaces

Summer’s not here yet… Teacher’s deserve so much credit! With stay-at-home orders in full effect, a few of us have had to add a new occupation to our list, since most schools are shut down for the rest of the school year. So, what can we do to make the transition to temporary teacher easier? […]
