How to Host the Perfect Gathering

It’s Friday! We made it!! Whoo hoo! We are introducing you to another blog series in our rotation – Featured Friday Finds. That sounds fun, huh? We don’t want to put ourselves in a box with this one, so it may be decor pieces, it may be something else. Who can say really?

What we can say is that this week we are sharing with you our favorite bar carts. We love bar carts! They are great for indoor and outdoor entertaining, decor and are just plain fun. And since it’s summer and it’s all about entertaining, we wanted to show you a round up of some of our favorite bar carts, as well as how to you use them and style them – both indoors and outdoors.

We have chosen so many different styles of bar carts, so you are sure to find your favorite here.

Also, because I love a good party, I wanted to share with you a couple of my favorite drink recipes that you can (and should!) make this summer.

Coconut Watermelon Cooler

Servings: 4, multiply as necessary

Ingredients:

6 oz vodka
8 oz coconut water
4 oz fresh strained watermelon juice
2 oz fresh strained lime juice

Directions:

Combine all in a sealed container and chill in the fridge for at least an hour (but no more than 6). When ready to serve, shake the container vigorously to create body and pour into glasses packed with ice.

Whiskey Peach Smash

Servings: 1, multiply as needed

Ingredients:

1 ½ oz Bulliet Bourbon
1 heaping bar spoon peach jam *
1 bar spoon honey
1 fat lemon wedge
4 to 6 mint leaves

Directions:

Muddle the herbs and the lemon wedge, then add the jam, honey and bourbon and stir. Add ice and shake hard for 5 to 10 seconds, depending the size of your ice. Strain into a rocks glass over ice and garnish with more mint.
* I prefer to grill a half of a peach and muddle it with the herbs and lemon wedge instead of using the jam.

Happy Entertaining!

Tell us how you like to entertain in the summer!
