3 Ways to Style a Console

Latest  Post

Same console. same art...3 different looks!

Who doesn’t love a beautiful entry way? Especially one with white board and batten walls. We chose this beautiful serving buffet from Living Spaces . It is a really beautiful wooden piece and it’s super functional with the drawers and cabinets. And this canvas art from Minted was the most perfect piece for this space. i love the colors – the whites, grays, browns and slate color. It’s mostly neutral, but it has gorgeous texture and I love that it was taken in Belgium. We spent some time there last summer and it was absolutely wonderful! We thought that it would be fun to show you 3 ways to style this console and art.

Look #1

Media console with white board and batten wall. Art with buildings, gold lamp and brass bells.

This first look is my favorite! Maybe it’s the bells? But I like the asymmetry of it. The lamp was what we started with. I like that it’s not too visually heavy with the clear seeded glass. Since we had the bells on the other side and those are a little heavier visually, I like that we added the stack of books with the candle and casa beads to add a little bit of balance.

Look #2

Media console with white board and batten wall. Art with buildings, cement lamps.

This look is heavier and has a lot more going on. This is a more layered look and we chose to lean the art instead of hanging it. The cement lamps are so incredibly pretty, like, seriously so pretty! I like that we added in the mirror and the wooden bowl from McGee & Co is one of my favorite pieces.

Look #3

Media console with white board and batten wall. Art with buildings, slate lamp, greenery.

I love the addition of the greenery in this look. I mean, I love greenery in any space. But I like the height it adds on the console. This look is a little more balanced with the vase on one side and the lamp on the other. The basket in the middle with the stack of books completes the console.
