I get asked about beds a lot…like they might be some of the most frequent questions I get. Questions like – Do you like your canopy bed? How did you decide to just use a headboard? Where did you get that bed?
Today we are going to discuss our favorite beds and the different types we like to use in our projects.
Personally I love a beautiful canopy bed -enough to have one in my bedroom! These are great statement pieces in the bedroom. They work really well in rooms with higher ceilings and can range from a traditional style to a more modern style. They create such a a great focal point in the room. Add some gorgeous neutral bedding and you are in a lovely designed room. Some of our favorite canopy beds can be found below.
via Pure Salt InteriorsThere is something so soft and cozy about an upholstered bed. These beds can also feel more modern or have more character depending on the type of upholstery that it has. Something tufted or with nailhead trim will feel more traditional, while something with clean lines will feel more modern.
via McGee & CoThere are so many options outside of upholstered beds that can be a fun option for your bedroom. Wood and metal beds are some of the more popular choices, but you can add a lot of texture with a cane bed or a suede strap bed as well. Just because the bed itself isn’t as soft or cozy doesn’t mean that you can’t add those elements in with bedding and pillows.
via CB2The simplicity of a headboard can also be a beautiful piece in a bedroom, it can be be the backdrop of beautiful bedding and art in the space. We love headboards that headboards can be more modern with rattan or leather woven features or more transitional with fabric headboards. They are usually a more cost effective option as well.
