Kids' Homework Space

Interior Inspiration: Kids’ Homework Spaces

Latest  Post

Summer's not here yet...

Teacher’s deserve so much credit! With stay-at-home orders in full effect, a few of us have had to add a new occupation to our list, since most schools are shut down for the rest of the school year. So, what can we do to make the transition to temporary teacher easier? Why not create beautiful and calming kids’ homework spaces that are also great for focus? Here are some great study spaces to keep you inspired.

Green, Green, and more Green

Did you know, that according to color psychology green is great at creating more focus? We want to be sure to include this color so that little minds don’t start to wander! Some other great color selections would be blue (which can increase productivity) and even lavender (creativity).

Clear the Clutter

Organization is key when it comes to creating an effective study space. While we’re creating a space for children and free to be slightly more wild with our design choices, we don’t want unnecessary distractions that are going to prevent our children from learning.

Comfortable Seating

Once you’ve cleared away all visual distractions and developed a productive atmosphere, you’ll want to make sure you take care of this element. Seating! The last thing we want is for our young learners to be sitting in something uncomfortable (or unstylish) that it makes them start to squirm! Check out some of these seating ideas and shop some of our favorites!
