There has been so much going on since we moved into our new home a little over a month ago. It look a little time to get the house all decorated. There were some holes to be filled throughout the house since there are a couple of extra rooms that needed some Christmas cheer. But now that it's done I LOVE it. Give me all the flocked trees, twinkling lights and candles.
We've had this tree now for a few years and I still love it. It's flocked and glittery and it's messy, but it's really pretty. I chose a spot next to the fireplace, so the height of the tree still worked perfectly. Plus, the Christmas tree next to the fireplace just feels super cozy to me.
The ornaments are mixture of old and new. I brought in some moodier tones of brown and camel this year mixed in with gold, silver, white and lots of sparkle.
The mantle is decked out with garland, stockings and the prettiest gold and sparkly leaf spray. I've had the gold pipe brush trees and stocking for years and I think they are still so great. Maybe at the new house I will get new stockings, but for now I'm keeping them! I added the brown tapers and taper holders and I love the layers and warmth it adds.
This year there are few extra spaces throughout our home that needed some Christmas spirit. I brought decorations into the kitchen, the dining room and both living spaces.
My favorite area is probably the cabinet in our sitting area where the tree is. The art that I chose has so many beautiful colors in it - greens, browns, golds. The paper trees and the the other decor are so pretty that I almost wish they could stay all year round. The coffee table has a greenery arrangement that Chelsea on my team put together.
Chelsea also did the most beautiful floral arrangement on the dining table that we put into a metal bowl with a pretty patina. I can only imagine dinner parties here with the candles lit. So magical!
In the family room I put green garland on the media console and added gold and glittery garland on top. It adds a really luxe feeling. The coffee table is simple with the cutest little reindeer that I call Dancer and a delicious smelling candle.
One of the best parts of having a frame TV is the opportunity to change the art to fit the season and there are so many great options for winter and Christmas. You can see a few of my favorites.
The kitchen has some small pieces that make a big impact. The gold laurel sculpture adds some height and shine the open shelves. The mini laurel garland in the corner is the sweetest addition that brings in a pop or green and sparkle.
The rest of the space has little touches throughout, like the cute little village houses and tea lights in the breakfast nook and the wreaths on the range hood and window.
I hope this holiday home tour put you more in the Christmas spirit and inspired you to add some cozy and sparkly holiday touches throughout your home.
