Last week we shared the kitchen, living room and dining room with you on the blog! You can read that here!
There are two bathrooms in the main house and neither of them are overly large. Which means a fun and patterned floor will add a lot of visual interest, but won't feel super overwhelming. I can't wait for you to see these spaces!
If you remember our 49th St project, then you might recognize these floors. I started designing this home first and I was so excited to use this tile, but then I got impatient and decided to use them in another remodel that finished way before this one. Haha!
I'm a huge fan of the diamond pattern, but what really makes me love these floors are the colors. The mix of beige, white and black worked so well with the black and brass accents we used throughout the rest of the bathroom.
I kept it pretty simple with the tile surround in the bathtub. I didn't want to compete with the floors and I didn't want it to feel too busy in here with too much going on. The part about designing a flip is that you can have some fun with color and pattern, but not too much fun. You are trying to appeal to a wide range of buyers when you go to list the home for sale, so there is a balance that needs to be there in order to make sure you don't scare off too many people by making it too specific to one taste.
If you remember from our previous post about this home, there used to be a door from the kitchen into this bathroom. Once we closed that off, we were able to make this bathroom make way more sense layout wise. We removed the shower and added a tub and moved it all to the back wall. Then we got rid of the second vanity and combined it into one double vanity. It makes so much more sense, doesn't it?
This bathroom is located off the main bedroom and it used to be smaller with only a single vanity. But we took over a hall closet that had a safe in it in order to extend the size of the bathroom and add a double vanity.
The floors in this bathroom are a lot of fun! I'm a sucker for a good hexagon tile and this one is really unique with the outlining in different colors. The base of these floors are a light gray, then you have a mid tone gray and then black. We paired this with a light gray subway tile and mid tone gray penny tile floor to tie it all together.
The mirrors add warmth with the mix of wood and brass, which helps this bathroom to not feel as cold and sterile.
Next up, we will be sharing the pool house! It's a really cute space and I think you will really like it!
