Exterior Inspiration: Outdoor Living

Latest  Post

Lately, we’ve been all about refreshing our spaces to brighten everyone’s mood and keep things light, but we just can’t stop daydreaming about the outdoors! While we can’t rush out into the world, we do have our outdoor living spaces to let us get a much needed breath of fresh air! Today we’re sharing with you some beautiful outdoor inspiration along with some Blissful designs at multiple budgets to help you achieve the most out of your outdoor space, and help you get out of the house, even if it’s your own backyard. For each design below you can see our starting design at $1,000 and then how we have added in new items to layer in to the space for a $1,500 budget and a $2,000 budget.

Outdoor Styling

Our first design to inspire your outdoor living is what bohemian dreams are made of! You can enhance this design by adding in a rug, along with an umbrella for keeping cool and candles to set the ambiance. We love that the chairs and the table come as a set to make styling even simpler!

Next up, to spruce up your patio we went a bit modern. When it is time to gather again, your guests (or you) will surely love basking in the sun in these chairs and lounging around in this gorgeous outdoor furniture. Want to upgrade this look? Add greenery, a nice coffee table and some poufs for extra comfort. This is outdoor living at it’s best!

hosting an outdoor gathering

We are all looking forward to being able to be social again when the stay at home orders have been lifted. I know that hosting friends for a casual outdoor get together is one of my favorite things to do. So, what do you need to make that happen?

Outdoor Seating

Whether you are going to relax around a dining table or spread out on some comfy chairs, you need a place where your guests can sit down to eat or to have a conversation. You can do this by creating an outdoor living area or dining area. Use our design boards above as inspiration to create your own space that feels great to you! Here are some of our favorite outdoor spaces!

Delicious Food

Snacks are a must for an outdoor gathering! I like to keep things simple and serve a few appetizers. Charcuterie boards, dips and bruschetta  are easy for guests to snack on throughout the day or night. Here are some ideas for your next gathering!

Yummy Drinks

There are many possibilities when it comes to what drinks you can serve your guests – sparkling water, iced tea, wine or beer. I love making a signature cocktail when I host. There is something about everyone drinking the same cocktail that makes me happy, but do whatever is easiest for you. If you don’t want to play bartender all night, then I recommend making a pitcher drink that can be made ahead of time and is easy for people to grab a refill whenever they need one. Mojitos and margaritas are great options for that! But if you want some really pretty drinks for your guests to enjoy the options are endless.Try out some of these recipes!
